Cycling on the Sunshine Coast: Trails, Paths and Bike-Friendly Routes

The Sunshine Coast has developed a strong network of cycling paths and trails over the past decade, with the Sunshine Coast Veloway and the coastal shared paths along the beachfront being the most popular. The Maroochy Wetlands shared path through Bli Bli and Yandina Creek offers a flat, scenically varied ride through estuarine landscapes. The Noosa Trail Network in the hinterland provides mountain bike trails through varying terrain, and Buderim Forest Park is a popular short-loop destination for trail riders. Hire bikes and e-bikes are available from several operators in Noosa, Mooloolaba and Maroochydore. The Sunshine Coast Council publishes an updated cycling map on its website.
